What are the new city district boundaries? Where do I vote?
Voting logistics may be a little confusing this year, because the two precincts that make up a district often vote in different locations.
That’s the case in District 2, which contains Precincts 3 and 5. Precinct 3 will vote at the King School, while Precinct 5 votes at Walsh. (Precinct 6 also votes at Walsh, but it’s in a different district. Follow all that?)
The good news: Polling places haven’t changed. If you know where you voted in the last election, it should be the same this year (unless you’ve moved). In fact, that’s why so many districts are split among different polling spots: Officials chose not to incur the added expense confusion of switching people’s voting locations in an already-change-filled year.
I created the interactive Framingham map above to show the new district boundaries and existing precincts and polling places, as well as District City Council candidates. Mouse over an area (or tap on a mobile device) to get district and precinct information – and information on which candidates are running for At-Large City Council in that district. Click (or tap) on a polling place marker for information about that voting site.
Click on the magnifying glass icon to search for a street address. The icon below it resets the map to its initial zoom level.
Note: Although this map is based on geospatial files from the town’s Senior GIS Engineer, this is not an official map. To be 100% sure where you vote, visit the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s voter registration status form.
