Richardson named to City Coucil's Temporary Rules Committee

District 2 City Councilor Pam Richardson is one of three councilors who will be serving on the Framingham City Council’s Temporary Rules Committee. George King (At Large) is chairing the temporary group; Judith Grove (District 8) is also on the committee.

The committee will propose temporary rules for the Council to work under, until more permanent rules can be debated and adopted.

The committee’s next meeting is November 21 at 7 pm in the Memorial Building’s Executive Conference Room.

“The plan is for that committee to make their recommendation to the full Council at our next meeting on Dec 6th,” City Council Chair Dennis Giombetti told me via electronic message.

Framingham’s new city government doesn’t officially take office until January, but the Council has begun preliminary work to get ready for the transition. Council members met for an organizational meeting on November 15 and elected Giombetti as their chair and Charlie Sisitsky (District 1) as vice chair. Giombetti is a former member and chair of the Framingham Board of Selectmen; Sisitsky served this year as Selectmen vice chair.
