Winter Solstice Event at Open Spirit

Experience an evening of gentle yoga, deep relaxation, and guided meditation on the eve of the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. “Honoring the Dark: Trusting the Promise of Light” will take place this Wednesday, December 20, from 7:30 to 8:30 pm at Sue Dickerman Hall on the campus of Edwards Church, 39 Edwards Street in Saxonville, Framingham.

Intended for people of all faiths and backgrounds, this ceremony will “draw upon wisdom from many traditions,” according to the Open Spirit Web site. Yoga and guided meditation will be led by Rev. Dr. Debbie Clark, pastor of Edwards Church UCC, Interfaith Coordinator of the Open Spirit center, and certified yoga teacher.

The event is free to attend, although donations will be appreciated.
