Two Candidates Announce for District 2 City Council Seat

Two candidates have announced plans to run for District 2 City Council following Pam Richardson’s announcement that she will not seek re-election in November.

Cesar Stewart-Morales posted on the Framigham District 2 Nobscot & Saxonville Facebook group that he plans to run. " I look forward to being a strong advocate and an effective representative for District 2 on the City Council. I humbly ask for your vote, your support, and I invite you to connect!" he wrote.

In addition, District 2 School Committee representative Richard Finlay plans to run for the District 2 Council seat, Framingham Source reported.

Janet Leombruno, a resident of District 2, will be running for one of two At-Large City Council seats, according to the MetroWest Daily News. George King plans to run for re-election, but Cheryl Tully Stoll has already announced she will be stepping down.

So far, no one has pulled nomination papers to run for the District 2 School Committee seat. Finlay ran unopposed in 2017.
