Framingham 29th in state for Covid19 infections per capita

Framingham has the 29th highest rate of infection per 100,000 people in Massachusetts, according to data released by the state Department of Public Health Wednesday.

At 816 cases (including at least 60 of which are at MCI Framingham), the state calculated that on Wednesday, the city has 1,095.8 known Covid-19 cases per 100,000.

Highest in the state was Chelsea at 5,217 per 100,000, followed by Brockton at 2,784, and Everett at 2,069.

Waltham and Westborough also have higher rates than Framingham.

Other nearby communities such as Milford, Marlborough, Natick, Sudbury, and Southborough have lower rates. However, it’s important to remember that we don’t know if the rate of testing is similar in all these cities and towns.
