Framingham is now 12th in Massachusetts in total known Covid-19 infections per capita, topping 2,000 per 100K for the first time. The city was 17th last week, 29th the week before, and 81st in mid-April. That’s according to data released by the state Department of Public Health.
According to the data released today, Framingham has 2,004.93 known cases per 100,000 residents. That includes about 70 cases at MCI-Framingham and the more than 600 people who were infected but have since recovered.
Chelsea remains the highest in the state at almost 6,900 cases per 100K, followed by Brockton (3,840) and Lynn (3,089). Locally, Milford is 13th (1,962) and Marlborough is 15th (1,908). However, we don’t know if the rate of testing is similar in all these cities and towns.
