Saxonville Subway Closes; Former Lumber Yard For Sale

The Subway restaurant on Concord Street has closed. The sign is gone, windows are papered over, and pre-Subway signage has returned to the property.

Attempts to call the local restaurant went to a voice-message mailbox. The closure seems to be unexpected, since as of today that location still appeared on the national Subway website.

In other local business news, the former Saxonville lumber yard at the corner of School and Concord streets is being marketed for re-development, Framingham Source reports. Developer Tony Kwan had plans to build Riverview Plaza with a gym, medical offices, and retail on the property back in 2008, but it remains vacant.
