From a Department of Public Works meeting flyer
There will be a virtual public meeting on Thursday, Nov. 12 to discuss city plans for transportation and pedestrian improvements in Saxonville.
The meeting, hosted by the Framingham Department of Public Works, will take place over Zoom beginning at 6 p.m.
“City staff and the design consultant will present current design project plans including, new crosswalks at multiple locations, sidewalks with ADA improvements, traffic signals, revised roadway geometry, on-street parking, and enhancements to the Danforth Street parking lot,” according to the public announcement.
If you can’t attend the meeting and have questions or comments, you can email ajewell@framinghamma.gov with the subject line Saxonville Public Meeting.
According to the meeting flyer, the project aims to deal with “vehicular and pedestrian conflicts” that pose safety issues within McGrath Square. . . . The existing traffic signal system is obsolete, and pedestrian improvements are needed. Parking for area businesses is limited. All approaches to the square have seen pedestrian and transportation enhancements over the past several years, and this project will connect them all."
You can join the Zoom meeting at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83683673409?pwd=eVRGeDQ5T2dERHNOc1hDL3lRclJPdz09 with the passcode 481933, phone in at +1 301 715 8592 using the meeting ID 836 8367 3409, or watch on the Framingham Government Channel.
There is a 26-page project proposal at the 35% design stage available online.
