The Framingham School Committee is scheduled to interview candidates for the District 2 vacancy tonight, Wednesday, February 17, beginning at 7:00 p.m. You can watch it live on the Government Channel (Comcast 99, RCN 13/613 and Verizon 42) or on the Framingham Public Schools Facebook Page . The are four applicants for the vacancy, which occurred after the death of Karen Foran Dempsey in December:
Richard Finlay, who served on the School Committee from 2009-2012 and 2016-2019; Kelly Garofalo, a special education and ESL teacher and parent of FPS students; David Gordon, director of finance & operations at Tenacre Country Day School who has held other financial management positions at Boston-area public school systems; and Brandon Ward, a senior program manager for fellowship operations at the Harvard Kennedy School who previous worked at the non-profit BRAC USA.
