The city’s Saxonville beach has opened for the season – but it’s sunbathing only for now while E.coli counts are elevated, according to a city government announcement. All three city beaches opened today – Saxonville on Lake Road, Learned Pond on Shawmut Terrace, and Lake Waushakum on Nipmuc Terrace. However, both Waushakum and Saxonville water are closed for swimming until further notice.
City beaches will be open daily through Thursday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. “as staffing allows”, according to the announcement. Beaches are open to Framingham residents only and are free with resident ID.
