The McAuliffe branch library (746 Water St.) is available as a “cooling center” from 9:30 am. to 7 pm weekdays, according to an announcement sent out by the city. Along with being air conditioned, the library is offering free bottled water to those who need it.
In addition, Saxonville beach (Lake Road off Old Connecticut Path) is now open for swimming. City beaches are open 10 am to 7 pm “as staffing allows” and are free for residents. An ID showing a Framingham address is required for admission.
