Framingham Covid rate dips for 1st time since mid July


Framingham’s rate of known new Covid-19 infections dipped to 12.1 per 100K people in the most recent 14 days compared with a similar period one week ago – even though number of tests administered rose 18.5%, according to data released today by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The rate was 12.3 last week.

Test positivity dropped to 2.04% from 2.37%.

67.8% of city residents are now fully vaccinated, while 75.9% have received at least one dose. That’s among all residents, including those too young to be eligible.
