Framingham Transportation Master Plan Public Meeting Thursday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.

The Department of Public Works and consultants VHB will hold the third of four virtual public meetings on the city’s Transportation Master Plan, Phase II, this Thursday, October 21, at 6 p.m.

The meeting will focus on three topics in different online “breakout rooms”:

Room 1: Public Transit, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Connectivity, with a focus on the Village Green area, and study area corridors including Edgell Road (but excluding Central Street, Summer Street, Fenwick Street, and Haynes Road, which will be discussed in Room 3), as well as sidewalk connections throughout the city.

Room 2: Vehicle Traffic Congestion in specific areas, including

  • Route 30/Cochituate Road at Beacon Street
  • Route 30/Cochituate Road at Shoppers World
  • Leland Street at Beaver and Kendall Streets
  • Salem End Road at Winter Street
  • Pleasant Street at Woodmere Road/Temple Street
  • Salem End Road at Badger Road/Gates Street

Room 3: Neighborhood Connections and Traffic Calming: Neighborhood connections and gateways, including areas around MCI-Framingham, Central Street at Summer Street, and Fenwick Street/ Haynes Road.
