Framingham Covid-19 numbers looked good this week, according to data released today by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health: a daily known rate of less than 10 per 100,000 population (9.9) for the first time since mid-October.
Positivity was down to 1.8%.
These numbers represent daily averages for the most recent 14 days.
Number of tests administered dropped by 18% compared with the same period a week ago, while number of cases dropped almost 48%.
There was an uptick in MWRA South region wastewater in the most recent report - 160 vs 53; but levels are still orders of magnitude lower than earlier this year. (Black lines in the graph below represent margin-of-error “error bars”. You can mouse over each blue bar to see underlying data.)
Vaccinations
About 41% of city residents have received “booster” shots, considered critical for fending off the Omicron variant. 78% are at least fully vaccinated while 91.2% have received at least one dose.
